I guess just being an ordinary plumber saving kingdoms and princesses from giant lizards just doesn't cut it anymore in this poor economy of ours. From the real world news feed, comes the weird story of two young men dressed as Nintendo's famed plumbing duo, assaulting a taxi cab driver in New York City's Staten Island area.

Police reports say that on November 1st at 4 am, a taxi cab driver pulled over at a gas station on Arthur Kill Road in Arden Heights, asking the occupants of his cab to get off and pay their fee. Unfortunately the four young men, who were at the time wearing the Halloween costumes of the popular video game characters, beat the 48 year old cabbie, robbed him of his cash, and then fled the scene.

This shocking turn of events was captured on a surveillance camera at the gas station, and as of now the New York Police Department are on the look out for the individuals involved. Particularly two men on the video, wearing Mario and Luigi's well known bright red and green overalls and caps, wrestling the cab driver down to the ground while a third man dressed in a tuxedo acts as a lookout.

Check out the following link for the video of the surveillance camera, and who knows, maybe you can identify and bring in these "pesky plumbers" to justice.
