In December of 1999, I was funemployed, having just quit my brief career as a door-to-door annoyance for the environment. I was finishing off Final Fantasy 8, and I was just about ready to begin a madcap 5 month roadtrip around the states to film weird stuff in the name of "internet television". (Oh, if only those suckers had known that Youtube was coming) I was, in short, ready to start an adventure and ready for a new millenium. Which technically wouldn't start until the FOLLOWING year, but for some reason no one paid attention to that.
At that exact same time, although no one was paying attention to him either, David W. Lloyd was beginning an adventure from similarly humble beginnings – an adventure that would result in the existence of OverClocked ReMix, a site where electronic music fans gather to produce remixed versions of their favorite video game tracks. OCRemix has grown over the years to host some astonishingly talented work.
It just so happens that it's their 10 year anniversary today, and whether you're a game fan, a music fan, or both — if you haven't visited the site and browsed their collection before, then you absolutely owe yourself a visit. Head on over, look around, and load up your mp3 collection with a decade of awesome.
Cheers to Destructoid for the tip-off.
