All you can say about Jet City Cakes is, "These ain't your grandma's cakes." The Seattle-based company and owner Paul Quinn have foregone the frosted roses and victorian lace for designs that are decidedly funkier, like this awesome Pac Man cake.

Quinn started as an apprentice on the hit Food Network show, Ace of Cakes and went on to create some of the wildest confections this side of the Mississippi. Along with the Pac Man cake, Jet City's made a Batman and Catwoman wedding cake, a zombie castle cake, a pirate ship cake, an H.R. Giger cake, and even a Princess Peach cake.

Jet City's custom cakes run anywhere from $350 to $2,500, depending on the complexity of the request.

Sounds reasonable. After all, you can't put a price on good (edible) art.
