Greetings, fellow Abyss fans, and welcome to Games Abyss Podcast #4: Game of the Year Deluxe Edition – and no, that isn't a fancy way of saying we don't know how to shut the hell up. Well, maybe.
Without a doubt, 2011 was a phenomenal year for gamers. With so many videogames to consider, the Games Abyss staff was hard-pressed to pick and choose which titles deserved the most recognition. And while I'm not going to detail our favorites here, (we have Staff Writer Justin Belin for that), I will say that the titles discussed in this month's podcast are all winners within their own right. Far surpassing our expectations of what a videogame should be, the likes of Portal 2, Catherine, Dark Souls, Batman: Arkham City, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Uncharted 3, and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, remind each and every one of us why gaming means so much to us.
Join us now as we celebrate what we consider to be 2011's best of the best.As the staff and I lovingly make our through this year's nominees, we also get a chance to list our personal selection for Game of the Year, as well as sound off our grievances for some of 2011's Most Disappointing Titles. So pop open a bottle of bubbly, pour yourself a drink, and raise a glass to one of the best year's in gaming.
Be sure to check back with Games Abyss on Monday, December 19 when our 2011 Game of the Year will be officially declared. Have a great weekend, everyone.
