Resident Evil 5: The Alternative Edition Confirmed as DLC, Spring 2010 ReleaseBy: Andreas Asimakis, Managing Editor |
Prepare yourselves, RE5 fans! Capcom has announced that new content is heading our way in Spring 2010 - in the form of DLC! After a poll was taken at Capcom's popular community site, the results favored the action title's expansion to be released as downloadable content.
Via Capcom-Unity:
Following the announcement of Resident Evil 5: The Alternative Edition by Capcom Japan at the 2009 Tokyo Game Show, Capcom’s North American and European community sites decided to post polls and determine how fans in the pan-western regions would like the new Resident Evil 5 content delivered to them. The surveys asked the Capcom community to state their preference- either a hard disc with the new content included or as downloadable content. Based on the results of the polls, Capcom is pleased to announce that new downloadable content will be available for Resident Evil 5 owners this spring via XBOX Live and PlayStation Network.
It is also worth noting that the post went on to mention that “You will not be asked to purchase a new copy of the game just to get at the new stuff, just make sure to hold on to your RE5 disc and you’ll be ready to roll in Spring 2010 when we make available new Resident Evil adventures (and some other things we haven’t told you about yet) for you.”
'Some other things?' I wonder what Capcom could be referring to.
