Bionic Commando Demo Hits Xbox Live This Month

By word from Joystiq, comes news of the "Bionic Commando" multiplayer demo landing on Xbox Live later this month. Developed by Capcom, the game is a new 3D take of the adventure-platformer series, and is supposed to be a continuation of the 1988 original Nintendo Entertainment System "Bionic Commando" game.

Set to release in North America by May 19th, "Bionic Commando" will feature a slight linear third person action, with the ability to swing around expansive areas, grab and launch objects such as boulders and cars, and attack enemies at close range using the protagonist's so-called Bionic Arm. The game will also have an online multiplayer mode for up to 10 people, using classic multi-play staples such as deathmatch and capture the flag.
